Ruby On Rails

I’ve been looking at Ruby On Rails. I’ve got an Eclipse environment set up to allow me to develop Ruby On Rails applications. I’ve got MySQL sorted out and the plugin for MySQL added to Eclipse too.

I’ve been a big Eclipse fan for a while now and I still get impressed by just how slick it is.

Ruby On Rails has the same slick, all the bases covered, kind of feel to it too. I’ve seen the video and followed the tutorials – it really is easy to build web applications quickly. Having said that the biggest headache is getting the thing set up and installed – particularly on a PC under Windows.

Anyway I’ve got a little development project on the go with Ruby on Rails now so watch this space for further details.
