Started reading "The Art of Project Management"

Seems a comfortable read so far. I’ve actually already joined Scott Berkuns PMClinic mailing list at scottberkun.com and am enjoying getting involved in discussion and debate about project management scenarios that are set each week.

Passed the Prince2 foundation exam

Now I’ve got to ponder the question – when do I do the Practitioner exam?

Another done deal...

Ok, I wasn’t initially convinced about the need for del.cio.us but now that I’ve tried it, I guess it is rather good.
If you want to have a look at my links so far, take a look at http://del.icio.us/stuartd007

Prince2 Foundation Exam Booked

I’ve booked myself in for the Prince2 Foundation Exam next week. Had nearly finished the Stakeholder management book I was reading but it’s back on the shelf until I’ve finished studying. Stakeholder management is one of the thing that I covered in the PMP exam that isn’t part of the Prince2 framework.

Took the plunge

Well www.thepragmaticpm.com is live with TextPattern. Took a little while to figure out the relationships between pages and sections but it’s sorted now. And it is indeed a powerful bit of software.

I was a bit worried that it was too heavily skewed towards supporting blogs but I think there is enough flexibility in there to let me do more.

Now got the job of actually creating interesting content for the site and I want to do more with the templates but I think I now know enough to close this one off.

Getting things together

I’ve been sorting out some web space with PhP and MySQL support so that I can try out Textpattern.

I’ve not long moved stuartd.com to a new hosting service. It was relatively painless so I may well be moving other sites too. If the new hosting and Textpattern look like they’ll do the job then I think I may well be redeveloping infiniteapps.com sometime soon.
