Source Control

We've been developing a fairly sizeable .net application for a client but the development team have each been working from home (or telecommuting as they used to call it before people actually did it). We looked for a while at how to best set up a source code repository to deal with distributed team and in the end went for Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere. It's not all bad as hosted services go. It's got a thick client and Visual Studio integration and from whichever perspective you take, it's as good or as bad as SourceSafe, without the hassle of setting up and managing your own server. It's actually quite scary how close to SourceSafe it is - I know where all the menu items and features are intuitively because I've used SourceSafe many times before.

Not blogged since June

That's unbelievable - I haven't done anything here since June.  Where oh where did the year go? Time is a strange thing - there's just never enough of it and yet it seems to go on forever.
